Atlantica Online: Expedition Tips / Strategies ::: EDITION 1 :::

Hi everyone! I wanted to share with you one aspect from expedition, what I call micro lazy income.

So first to remind you that in expedition you lose roughly about 4 points of durability per item per run, which is actually very much, so running an expedition for making experience is actually expensive. Those who don't mind to pay the repair for the sake of experience - no problem, but most people should be careful. So this brings me to the topic I want to share with you:

G1's micro lazy income from expeditions

I've put 5 quite naked high level mercs into an expedition (60 battles) and given them I think just +0 divine weapon (which will be dismantled when durab = 0 so I get most of the money back for them in elements). There is a pirate and spartan on front row which I never use. A second oracle which I had made long ago for tbs which i also dont use sitting on the 2nd row and in the 3rd row an arty (I had made for the debuff), a class D gunner (backup for PVE if i need) and a 2nd monk. Spartan and arty are around level 130. Pirate is around 120. Oracle and monk are 113 (if i would need them i can put nix on em).

So I have put life pots on spartan (the leader) and 150 class 3 mana pots on all mercs. I have experimented sending this party to all kinds of skirmishes in expedition but basically the sweet spot is the Ruined Labyrinth.

You can JP literally whatever in the loot window and it gives you roughly about 2 mil gold and you just send them right back without looking / checking items or whatever.

So lets say you send them 1 time in the morning before work, 1 time before you have dinner and 1 time before you go to sleep, that makes it 3 times per day, which makes it 90 times per month. 90 times x 2 mil income per run is 180 mil gold per month. Which I know is a relatively silly number for high level people, but it comes from just 3 clicks per day. Those people who have access to the game during most of the day can easily send 5-6 times, which then doubles the income to around 360 mil per month.

Atlantica Online: COMMANDER's LOOT drop rates based on 438 boxes

With the support of 17 Atlantians I proudly present to you the drop rates for Commander's Loot's random box and the analysis of the results based on 438 opened boxes.

I think this is a great job on everyone's part and I am quite proud of the outcome.
(Normally no need to send me more data on this, but if you opened many boxes 50+100+ and would like me to update msg me I can do it)

Enjoy!
(if any comments/thanks i'd appreciate if you can post them here rather than pm/mail me ingame)

Atlantica Online: Trio 135 Battle of Red Cliffs (Nicllyq + S4W + G1cannon)

This was our first attempt of the new 135 Battle of Red Cliffs tbs. With practice we should all get a lot faster / better at it. Also with more mob infos should get easier.

To remind, my might is 1.4 mil and i am far from having +10 items. Nic and S4W are quite more powerful than myself :) However, we (Nic + me) did do this mission again with another guildie, who was weaker then me and we did succeed, so 1-2 relatively strong guys + 1 decent strong guy should work.
  • Royal feast was on.
  • 20% title was on.
  • Guild feast was on.

A lot of mob positions are packed groups of 5-6 mobs so very good targets for gun/cannon mercs. I even felt cannon would do better because gun needs a straight line and sometimes the map is designed to block the line of sight. So if I would have a better cannon weapon than gun I think i would select a cannon merc.

Also common sense dictates to keep oracle far from battle, etc, but this does not work, because blessing / res scrolls need the whole pack near each other. Also often you will notice packs of mobs appear on top of you so basically you need to stick as close to one another as possible, which means eating more damage from AOE and similar, but the benefits of protecting each other, healing, etc are greater. "Rescuing" a merc which died far away would be a pain.

Didn't exactly pay attention to traps. We just used scrolls periodically. S4W is the melee and he has great movement and sight so he had the job of scouting, tanking and scrolling. This also means that the other 2 guys don't need to upgrade their sight - waste of money. Just the tank needs to.

Enjoy!

Atlantica Online: 24 EXPEDITION Results ::: EDITION 2 :::

See below results from 24 Expeditions - the new feature of the 3 Kingdoms patch.

Note my findings:
  • Careful - expedition is a major scam! The cost of life pots, heal pots, mana pots and most of all 10+ atlas per merc for repair FAR outdoes the income from expedition
  • The only solution is to use +10 items only as they don't have durability, but as you know that costs a lot, even if you use low level +10s
  • Another option is to use max level 100 items because the repair stones are cheap (relatively speaking)
  • Alternatively you can choose to pay and receive experience in return, but with "normal" items this is a loss making enterprise
  • I found out late that Health and Mana potions must be in the first 2 potion slots of each of the mercenaries!
  • in any other slot they just don't use them! So in all results you see "no other pots" is because I was either not using potions or putting them in the wrong slots
